Will Roofmelt harm my shingles?

Our testing has shown that Roofmelt will not harm your shingles if used as directed.

 

Is Roofmelt safe for use on metal roofs?

While Roofmelt is not recommended for use on exposed metal roofing materials, our testing has shown that painted and enameled metal roofs show no signs of harm from using Roofmelt.

 

Will Roofmelt harm my gutters?

While you should never place a Roofmelt tablet directly into a metal gutter, if Roofmelt is used as directed, it should not harm your gutters.

 

Will Roofmelt harm my plants or shrubs?

In the five years that Roofmelt has been on the market, we've never had a single complaint about damage to plants or shrubs. If used as directed, Roofmelt should not damage your landscaping.

 

Is Roofmelt safe around pets?

Roofmelt is a Calcium Chloride based product. Normal precautions should be exercised when using Roofmelt around children and pets.

 

How long does Roofmelt last?

Roofmelt was not designed as a preventative. When you have a problem with ice dams, use Roofmelt as directed to solve your immediate problem. When you have another problem with ice dams, use Roofmelt to again solve your problem.
